John Luisana AKA DiscGolf01 DiscGolf01 AKA John Luisana

John Luisana, alias DiscGolf01, came to poker from the chess world after meeting a group of chess enthusiasts who had recently quit their jobs to play poker.

After dabbling for a year or so throughout 2004 he made the switch and began playing professionally in 2005 with an initial focus almost exclusively on SNGs. He gradually expanded his range to multi-table tournaments and heads-up SNGs and was subsequently hooked. For the last few years he has played mainly heads-up and 6-max cash games from $200 to $1000 no-limit.

Soon after quitting his day job John spent a year traveling around the world playing from hotels and hostels, averaging only about 1.5 hours a day, paying for the whole trip and then some.

Needless to say... John doesn't play as much chess these days. You can catch John at the BlackChip tables, where his alias is DiscGolf01. John may be available for private coaching, if you'd like to enquire about this contact us.

Ben Reason AKA reasons14 reason14 aka Ben Reason

Hailing from poker heartland in Texas, Ben's first experience of the game began in the fourth grade. The stakes? Pokemon cards, of course.

Well Ben doesn't play for Pokemon cards anymore, but he did go pro a few years back, while in his late teens. He's now well versed and very accomplished in cash games, tournies and SNGs.

Ben's a music major, with a passion for teaching, so if you'd like some coaching check out his blog and get in touch.

Pablo Cusi Sierra AKA ExtremHardExtremHard

My name is Pablo Cusi. I was born in Buñol, a little village near Valencia, Spain, on May, 4th 1982. I have two different university degrees, one in Business Administration and another in Economics, both with an extraordinary prize upon graduation.

Professionally, I have worked for more than seven years in Garrigues; one of the most important European firms, as a tax adviser, currently I am a Senior Associate there.

For many years, I was an amateur chess player, participating in regional competitions individually and with my village’s chess club. However, in September 2008 I discovered poker (specifically NL Holdem), and since then I have spent almost all my (little) free time on poker.

As a poker player, I’m an amateur player but poker is more than a hobby for me. Now, with my family and my job as tax adviser, poker is one of the most important things in my life.

I like NL25-NL50 Holdem and currently I play around fourty thousand hands per month, pretty much exclusively at Black Chip Poker since December 2011 because I found I was really happy with the software and the support crew.

Finally, I have to say that I have achieved all this despite the fact that I suffer a severe physical disability which means I’m physically paralysed with the use of only two fingers. It means that I need the help of a machine to breath and the assistance of a third person to execute my commands when I play live poker games or tournaments. That ‘third person’ is usually my little brother Javier.
