If you didn't know it: a freeroll is a tournament that gives you the opportunity to win real money without having to put up any of your own cash as an entry fee. We like freerolls and we know you like them too, so we offer a variety of these babies to give you a chance to cash yourself up for free. We run a series of $200 freerolls (five times daily) that are open to absolutely any Black Chip Poker member. The opportunity is there for all to enjoy a good online tournament with a chance at real money prize pools. Here's the Daily Freeroll schedule:

NEW PLAYER FREEROLLS
As a new player at Black Chip Poker you are invited to partake in our New Player Freerolls. Upon making your first deposit you'll also be awarded with 14 days entry into the Daily $500 New Depositor Freeroll. These tournaments are our special way of welcoming you to the ranks and are designed to give you a chance to build your bankroll. Be sure to take advantage of these great tourneys while the chance exists, you'll find more info about these after you make your first deposit.
FREEROLLS FOR VIPS
Being a deposited player does not exclude you from regular freerolls - in fact, it makes your chances at entering big tournaments even better. For example - our vip system allows points to be earned when you play real money ring games and tournaments, and in turn these points can be used to enter higher level freeroll tournaments. The pinnacle of which is the weekly $50,000 Guaranteed Freezeout that runs every Sunday @ 15:00 (GMT –5, ET –1.).
While this tournament is technically a Guaranteed, you can gain entry by converting your VIP points in effect making it a freeroll. You can also satellite your way in for as little as 110 VIP points through smaller satellite tournaments.
A Guaranteed Tournament is one that has a definite (e.g. guaranteed) prize pool that exists regardless of how many people buy-in and play. These are generally multi-table tournaments with more than 10 players. Guaranteed tournaments have a buy-in and entry fee and usually the prize pool is Guaranteed above the maximum number of players in the tournament, (eg all the buy-ins and entry fees go straight into the prize pool) thus ensuring bigger prizes even if there are just a few peeps competing.
A big drawcard at BlackChip is our Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed Freezeout Tournament. It runs each and every Sunday @ 15:00 (server time). You'll want to be aiming to get involved in this one at some point.
RE-BUYS, ADD-ONS AND FREEZEOUTS
Some Guaranteed tournaments have "rebuys" and "add-ons" which means that if you lose all of your chips you can "re-buy" into the tournament and continue to play (the re-buy will be the same as the original buy-in amount). An add-on is sometimes offered at the first break, in which the re-buy period ends. Add-ons give those who are short stacked a chance to "top up" their chips (add-ons are generally the same as the original buy-in amount). Some tournaments have "double add-ons" which will give you twice as many chips as the starting chip count, but for the same cost as the original buy-in.
A freezeout tournament means there are no rebuys and that means that once you lose all of your chips, you are out of the tournament.

Sit and Go tournaments have a specific buy-in and entry fee amount, which added together forms the prize pool. The prizepool is split up by the winners, generally amongst the top 3, following a payout schedule.

The most satisfying feeling at poker table is eliminating another player. Not only do you win a huge pot, but you are also one step closer to the prize money! Now the prize money and eliminations are coming together at Black Chip Poker's Bounty tournaments!
In a Bounty tournament, a percentage of the prize pool will be taken to put a bounty on the heads of players. The overall prize payout structure remains the same, but the extra value is found as you knock out other players and receive a cash prize for every elimination.
Regardless of your tournament placing, you can still make a profit on bounties. For example, in a $2 buy-in tournament, $1 will contribute to the prize pool, and $1 will be paid to the bounty field. Every player has a $1 price on their head, so simply eliminate two players and you have already made your buy-in back, with only profit to come!
Bounty tournaments will be available with many different prize structures. The bounty prize pool can be customized, anywhere from 10% of the buy-in to a full 100%! Simply check out our tournament listings in the Black Chip Poker software to see the prize pool structure for any one of our upcoming tournaments.
This table shows the standard payouts for multi-table tournaments run at Black Chip Poker. The right column shows the finishing place, while the column headers displays the amount of entries (players) in the tournament. For example, if you finish in 9th place in a tournament with 250 people, you would be paid 2% of the total prize pool.
