In a few days you’ll see the Black Chip Poker client like you’ve never seen it before. We are excited to be implementing some exciting new features. These client changes reflect what you’ve been asking for and have been developed with the player in mind.
As a keen BCP player, we thought we’d take this opportunity to share some of the key changes ahead of time.
General Changes
As well as a fresh new look, we are giving you the ability to customize your client according to your needs.
To further enhance usability of the site, information about current promotions will all be found in one place with no pop-ups or banners to interrupt the user experience. Also, the number of players currently online is shown, tournament updates such as overlays and events will be more clearly displayed and there’s more final table streaming offered.
The new game client also includes improved navigation, making it easier for players to find the games, stakes and tournaments that best suit them with intuitive filters that remember preferences for continued ease.
The changes are also designed to give players a more secure, enjoyable, and sustainable playing experience that more closely resembles a live poker room environment. It also reduces predatory behavior, and ultimately benefits the whole poker ecosystem.
Changes to Tournament lobby
A new widget-based, detachable tournament lobby that you can customize based on your own preferences.
Players will enjoy easier navigation, improved filtering and search options and a range of other features that together offer a fresher, cleaner and more convenient way to see the data that is important to them, including:
- Improved navigation for multi-day events.
- Easier to pin events and see the tournaments you are registered for.
- Improved sorting, searching, and filtering functionality.
- Final table streaming indicators to easily see which tournaments are available to watch the action.
Changes to cash game tables
- Players may only start one table at a time.
- A new table cannot be created while an empty seat is available in that cash game group.
- If a cash game group has more than one table with one person sitting alone, the most recently created table will be closed.
Waiting lists for specific tables will no longer be available. Instead, players can choose between these options:
- Easy access to a cash table with an open seat via a join button for each open table.
- A hide full tables button.
- A waiting list that functions like live cardrooms in that it will seat players at the first table with an available seat.
