Elite Benefits Earnings
What’s the difference between Benefit Points and Player Points?
Benefit Points determine your level in our Elite Benefits Program.
Player Points are earned based on your Benefit Points and are determined using a different multiplier for each level. Player Points are a spendable currency.
To view your level, log into the Black Chip Poker client, click on the ‘Rewards’ menu, and then choose ‘Elite Benefits’. You should see your current points, rank, available rewards, and more.
How you earn your points via tournaments:
For every $1 USD in tournament fees paid, you receive 5.5 Benefit Points (BPs).
For example, if you play in a tournament with a $20+$2 buy-in, then $20 goes to the prize pool and $2 is the entry fee. Only the entry fee part counts towards calculating your Benefit Points. So, in this example, you will earn 11 BPs for the $2 you are paying as an entry fee ($2 x 5.5 = 11).
Note if the buy-in is less than $1, you still earn fractional BPs. For example, in a real-money SnG with a $5+0.50 buy-in, you will earn 2.75 BPs (5.5 / 2 = 2.75 BPs).
How you earn your points via cash games:
In cash games, you earn 5.5 Benefit Points (BPs) for each $1 you contribute to the rake.
You will earn Benefit Points for the rake taken from each hand. Black Chip Poker uses the weighted contributed methodology to calculate your points. That means players earn more credit based on how much rake they contribute to a pot.
Please note that in all ring games, Benefit Points will be credited at the end of a hand. That means if you leave a table before the hand is completed, you risk forfeiting the BPs for that hand. To make sure you are paid the BPs you deserve, click “Sit Out”, and wait until the start of the next hand before leaving the table.
